Our First Deformable Mirror is Alive!

Deformable mirrors are one of the key components of adaptive optics. Using our experience on piezoelectric actuators, we are now working on deformable mirrors. Our first prototype can correct astigmatism and defocus wavefront errors up to 30 um. Next step will be increasing the actuator count in order to achieve higher order correction.
